The World's Greatest Parties - ConceptEvery culture, country, city, town, and village has one. Every ethnic group, social group, and religious group has one. There's a brief, intense, and emotional element to parties and celebrations. They hold the potential to connect to an individual, on a new level, in a new perspective but the party always ends and you return to your life. We capture these relationships developing on camera. Then we show "the after", the host or audience contest winner, who is changed, touched, affected by this brief yet potent interaction. All of us are looking for stimulation, connection, meaning, an experience that will move us...the person at the party who will change our life vector. This show, in essence, admits that people go to parties to seek adventure. We're offering that chance. To go on a journey. The particular party is just a great excuse to go. We focus on music, fashion, food, dance, and the overall social life of the community, clubs, hotels, etc. But, most importantly, we look at the culture itself and meet its most interesting people -- the celebrities, artists, writers, entertainers. People who can share with us a world we've never seen or, perhaps, not understood before. This one-hour show is aimed at the 18-30 population and would air on a weekly basis. Our two guest hosts (male and female) have excellent social skills, are intelligent, well informed, and outgoing. They engage their contemporaries in provocative and thought provoking dialogue. Not only do they make each scene itself but they show us behind the scenes. The viewer selection, via email, is played both for the comedy effect and for matching up the right contestant with the right journey. All contestants must possess a genuine passion for the particular celebration they seek. We can play into the touching moments, reunions, returning to homelands, etc. We expect over 20,000 emails per week. Foreign languages -- we pick up college age bilingual translators who will work through those barriers. The production company would be set up in Los Angeles. A segment producer and global location manager will scout all the selective events. Our traveling crew consists of writer/producer, director, our two hosts, production manager, director of photography, sound mixer, and one production assistant/utility person. All the other crew will be local, brought in to help with equipment and transportation. On the air promotional tie-ins will be through airlines, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation. All postproduction will be done in Los Angeles with video taping FedEx back from location on daily basis. |
